Alright, this is interesting. The long storied Alien Franchise tried pulling a fast one.
They are currently working on Aliens Fireteam Elite. It's both something equally exciting and terrifying, Not because of a Alien dropping out of the vent, but because of the history of this franchise.
Long ago in the long gone year of 2013 there was a game in this franchise that got released. It's name was Aliens Colonial Marines. It had been a long awaited game set just a few years after Alien 3. Unlike all the AVP cross over games this was a pure Alien experience. However due to some "issues" the game was a resounding failure in the eyes of the internet and fans. The story sucked, the visuals were subpar, and the glitches, oh the glitches. This game was flawed from the start though plagued by development hell and also a tough premise. The game did have some enjoyable things about it though. Bug hunt(a survival wave mode) was original and probably the most fun I have had in a wave mode. The Escape multiplayer game mode was also really fun. Plus there was also a few others like team death match. Even the singleplayer and co-op had some really cool parts to it(like a hive escape, and salaco fight). Ultimately though this game was so bad that they delayed the release of another Alien game that was the exact opposite of Colonial Marines, Alien Isolation, a single player experience like no other. A nail biting experience, oozing with atmosphere and heart everywhere.
All that has brought me to this game. Aliens fireteam Elite. It is attempting to do what colonial marines failed to do. However what will be its legacy. Will it end in failure and ruin or glory and prosperity.
