Today Games media outlets covered a new Halo Infinite Trailer. The one I found was on IGNs Youtube channel.
In the trailer it is a transmission from Atriox, the Brute in command of the Banished. They are a break off faction from the Covenant, from Halo Wars 2. The message is clear, he is gunning for one of the installation from humanity. This can mean a couple things for the story of Halo Infinite:
First that the spirit of fire and UNSC could be reunited.
second Atriox may be a enemy for part of the game but later a ally.
now let me explain my thoughts a bit. We know this is transmission is meant to be a call to war. But Cortona and the Created are already at work, So unless this is happening on installation 00, he may be interrupted in his campaign by the Guardians. This could all happen on the first part of the game. Atriox and his banished attack the UNSC forces on Zeta halo. The Guardians find them both and wipe them out bringing us to the BroHammer trailer.
It also could be that the Banished somehow reopen the portal to the Ark. PS still have no idea how they got there without going through earth. After that the UNSC attempt to stop them and the Spirit of Fire helps take on the fleet.
Personally prefer the former. In any case I think he will be a short time enemy and a friend-emy at least by the end. As if they just solve the Cortona problem off screen that's gonna be annoying. The issue is I would prefer to bring up something nobody will like. Halo....it's a triple A title. Like most titles in this classification it has a massive amount of money and marketing behind it. This used to be a awesome thing as the game used to be awesome. We all remember the believe trailers, ODST, and Reach trailers. However I would urge fans to remember the Halo 5 trailers. I enjoy making these speculations. But it is a Speculation. So be cautious.
