So much is happening in the world of gaming and even just the world of computing technology in general. Microsoft is Discussing purchasing Bethesda from ZeniMax, the New Consoles are almost at release, A new VR headset is getting released, to top it off A Fallout 4 mod called Fallout Miami Released a Trailer!
Now most of the news for Microsoft purchasing Bethesda is really interesting, first that ZeniMax would even let them go, and second that it is happening now. But The recent blunders of theirs and price Microsoft is offering may had just been to enticing. Many Youtubers such as thequartering and Upper Echelon Gaming Already have vids up about it. But Brief overview, Microsoft is working out the deal and made it public, Bethesda may still honor projects that are in development for other systems. It is unlikely that Microsoft will hog all of the games for the Xbox as they want to get games on PC and may place Elder scrolls and others on the Game Pass. Some are worried that Elder Scrolls 6 will be exclusive to xbox but recent moves by Microsoft make this unlikely.
The new consoles also seem to be getting geared up for release. The PS5 had a issue with scalpers making the new console scarce. Due to the way that Sony went about the release it seems that it kinda led to a run on them. However it seems that the initial rush of preorders is done.
Now the Oculus quest 2 got released as well. It is one of the All in One Gaming VR Consoles. Well at least he review copies did. The VR Console has been getting good reviews. But keep in mind it is a All in One Gaming Console. Not a PC attached one. so if you are looking for entry VR and don't have a PC to run it. Something like this could be something to look into. But beware the system ties into your social media. So if you have issues with their tracking polices that's something to consider.
Fallout Miami is a total conversion mod for Fallout 4. One that I have been eagerly awaiting. It moves the game to the wastes of Miami Florida, with its own weapons, and story. Even though some thought this mod dead, it updated the dev blog on its site last winter, and released a trailer for it. Even though it is still a work in progress even the trailer shows the talent and passion put into the project. The towering dilapidated hotels along a beach with palm trees. As someone who has lived in Florida the team did a good job making it look like a Florida resort. I look forward to playing this when it is released.
